John Legere
Conductor - Army
John has been a life member of the VFW Auxiliary to Charles Evering Post 6506 since 2024. He joined under the eligibility of his maternal grandfather, James F. Thomas, Jr., who was an Army machine gunner who served during World War II. There is a long and varied history of military service in his family, spanning numerous generations. John himself served in the United States Army from January 1985 until his honorable discharge in December 1987.
On the Auxiliary Level: John is currently serving as Conductor. This is his first term as an auxiliary officer.
John is also a member of the Ravens Roost 50 Foundation for Families. Brother Legere is a father of one. He is a retired Baltimore City Police Officer and served there from 1988 until his retirement in 2008. John spends his time playing pickleball, golfing, and bowling in a league.
